The SUP or Stand Up Paddleboard has become an increasingly popular way to go spearfishing. It is light weight, somewhat portable and an easy way to get onto the water from virtually anywhere.
This short video is meant to be an accompaniment to my book - Spearfishing: How to get Started and specifically to the chapter about beach dives.
Today I launched from the beach and used my small anchor to hold steady in mildly windy conditions. I was able to get a nice fluke (summer flounder) for dinner as I decribed several of the advantages to using your SUP for diving and spearfishing from the beach.
