Happy International Women’s Day! Today we celebrate trailblazers like Ukeme Awakessien Jeter, who made history as the first person of color to serve as President of Upper Arlington City Council. Her story is one of resilience and achievement. An immigrant, lawyer, and engineer, Ukeme has shattered glass ceilings and paved the way for future leaders. Despite her many roles, Ukeme is also a dedicated mother of two, showing that with determination and passion, anything is possible.
