Microsoft Teams has Group chats and Channel Conversations. Channel Conversations happen in the General channel or another channel. Chats are in Chats. :-) Which one should you use? Both are great at communicating with a group of individuals. You can share files with both Chats and Channel Conversations (also called Posts). In this video, I'll give you my advice on when to use Chats vs. Conversations. Some of the points are clear-cut, but in others, you will have to decide what works best for you and your team members. You can start a group chat at any time. You may need permission to create a Team. Every Team has a General Channel. The conversation occurs in channels. Conversations can be threaded. Chats are not threaded.
