My Cozy had an old 121.5 MHz ELT (Emergency Locator Transmitter) in it. In order to fly to Canada, I need to have a 406 MHz ELT. In this video, I explain what ELT's are, how they work, how they help you be found after a crash, how search and rescue operates, and the difference between a 121.5 and a 406 ELT, and then show how I remove my old ELT and install the new one.
