In this week’s episode of Tying Tuesdays, watch as Brady Laehr ties the North Fork Special! The North Fork Special is a solid heavyweight nymph pattern that will help put fish in your net. Developed by Tim Wade of North Fork Anglers, this pattern helps to get your rig into the zone without the needed addition of split shot. This helps keep your flies in contact with your indicator or rod tip providing better strike detection. Although it most closely resembles small stoneflies it is a great attractor pattern in many multi fly rigs. Fish the North Fork Special deep for the big ones and it will not disappoint.
