On 6-19-14, I went up to the La Quinta Inn and Suites at Sand Canyon Avenue in Irvine to see some Amtrak and Metrolink Trains before they got rid of the railroad crossing. It was a fun day full of rush hour. Here is what I caught
Train 1: Metrolink 641 with cab car 664 and F59PH 870
Train 2: Amtrak 580 with F59PHI 455 and cab car 6951. The shot came unexpectedly because I was setting up my camera when it was coming.
Train 3: Metrolink 817 with cab car 679 and F59PH 851. This used to be Metrolink train 813 but they swapped the numbers around and now 813 runs early. This train was going slow because it was preparing it's meet with Metrolink train 808.
Train 4: Metrolink 808 with cab car 659 and F59PHI 880. this used to be Metrolink train 804 but they swapped the numbers around and now 804 runs early.
Train 5: Metrolink 609 with cab car 649 and MP36PH3-C 900. This train was going slow because it was approaching the Tustin station.
Train 6: Metrolink 602 with MP36PH3-C 895 and cab car 673.
Train 7: Amtrak 583 with NPCU 90208 and P42DC 156. 156 wasn't on the Surfline for a very long time. It was taken off by the time 583 got to Los Angeles.
Train 8: Metrolink 686 with F59PH 859 and cab car 672. Full rotem set on this train!!!
Train 9: Metrolink 810 with F59PH 851 and cab car 679. This was the same set as 817. this used to be Metrolink train 806 but they swapped the numbers around and now 806 runs early.
Train 10: Amtrak 582 with F59PHI 451 and cab car 6900 (FanOfthePADRES411's favorite cab car)
Train 11: Metrolink 689 with cab car 672 and F59PH 859. This was the same set as 686
Train 12: Metrolink 640 with F59PH 870 and cab car 664. This was the same set as 641.
Train 13: Metrolink 812 with F59PHI 877 and cab car 668. this used to be Metrolink train 808 but they swapped the numbers around and now 808 runs early.
Train 14: Metrolink 604 with F59PHI 885 and cab car 638.
Train 15: Metrolink 688 with F59PH 873 and cab car 644.
Train 16: Metrolink 643 with cab car 664 and F59PH 870. This was the same set as 641 and 640. I saw this set 3 times today.
Amtrak train 785 was running 15 minutes late but I wasn't able to catch that one because I was having dinner at Denny's
