縫製中式服裝，基礎工藝包括熨工、粉線、水線、針法及漿糊運用等，而漿糊在處理緄條、黹口等是必須用的媒介。傳統中式服裝店這工作是學徒入門必學的技藝，每天為各師傅預備柔滑不帶粉粒的漿糊縫製各類中裝，是次由馮鍶師傅示範調較漿糊的竅門。馮師傅1950年代從家鄉浙江來港拜師學習中裝，曾設帳為有興趣研習中裝人士授藝。

Potassium alum 1 teaspoon
hot water 1 Litre
