In the context of today’s housing market, the word correction doesn’t mean prices are falling. It just means that prices are normalizing after a few years of record-breaking appreciation. Today, home prices are still growing, but not as fast. Home prices are moderating.

Prices rose dramatically in 2022 due to high demand and low supply. There were a few months after that when price growth was basically flat, but now we’re seeing more normal levels of price appreciation. And these normal levels of price appreciation are good because it means that after you purchase your new home, the value will probably keep going up.
