This is an updated tutorial. The one I posted last year included a wooden stem, and I have since changed my DIY kit to include a yarn stem.

The basic pattern is listed below:

1) Magic circle 6 single crochet

2) Increase to 12 single crochet

3) 12 single crochet

4) Decrease to 6 single crochet

5) Bind off (aka close top)

6) Add stem & leaf
