Milho Madeirense | White cornmeal EASY recipe
"Milho cozido" is a traditional dish from Madeira Island it translates to white cooked cornmeal porridge but savory and not sweet.
This dish is usually served with fish tuna or blackscabord fish and some sauce, this recipe is really easy to make and it's so tasty .

INGREDIENTS:
5 to 6 tbsp olive oil
2 garlic cloves finely chopped
thyme to taste
cabbage finely chopped
salt to taste

slowly cooks for about 50 minutes on low heat.

SAUCE:
olive oil
garlic to taste
1 onion
half a red pepper
parsley
1 tin of plum tomatoes
1 tbsp sugar
salt to taste
Seafood broth
White wine

Milho cozido da Madeira em Português
5 to 6 tbsp de azeite de oliveira
2 dentes de alho bem cortado
Segurelha a gosto
Couve bem cortada
sal a gosto

Coze devagar durante 50 minutos em lume brando


Molho

Azeite de oliva
Alho a gosto
Meio pimentão vermelho
Salsa
1 lata de Tomate pelado
1 colher de sop de açúcar
sal a gosto
Creme de mariscos
Vinho branco
