After a last-place finish at Rio 2016, India’s women’s hockey team finished in fourth place at #Tokyo2020 after going down to reigning champions Great Britain in the bronze medal match. Despite losing 4-3, Savita Punia’s heroic saves, Gurjit Kaur’s brace and Vandana Katariya’s field goal made it a closely fought match.
The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Summer Games are taking place in Japan, from July 23, 2021 to August 8, 2021.
