4WD action while in the safari jeeps. This Toyota safari vehicle was amazing. As are the drivers or wild game guides. It is very tiring driving in the Serengeti in such muddy conditions. As we approved the lodge, The Sound of Silence, the dirt roads leading in were muddy, actually filled with water from the recent rain downpours. We got stuck in the mud! But Andrew, our driver guide from Tanzania Specialist, popped it into 4WD and with a little back-and-forth, broke us free from the ditch and off we were again, slinging left and right, like driving on ice! 4x4 Four-wheel drive action!
