Namaste and welcome to this super vulnerable class on yin yoga for grief and sadness. At the time of this recording, it was March 15th, which is the day my dad committed suicide and passed away. Every year, this date is always very emotional and hard for my family and I. As someone who's grieving still to this day, I wanted to offer you a class where we are accepting the pain that comes with grief and accepting to be vulnerable.

When going through pain it can be tempting to reach out for drugs, alcohol, comfort food, or anything else in an effort to feel better. In today's yin yoga class on grief and sadness, I am teaching you to accept these emotions and to allow them to manifest and surface when necessary because, from experience, this is the only way to feel better. We need to go through these emotions instead of trying to suppress them. This allows us to heal through living them and using beneficial tools like yin yoga to release them. In this class, you will see me cry and I didn't edit any of it because I wanted to share this experience with you guys and show you that it is ok to feel that way and it's ok to roll with these emotions to allow ourselves the much needed time and healing space we need.

So hop on your yoga mat and let me guide you through this great yin yoga sequence for grieving that I create for you guys. If you lost someone close to you recently or you are still grieving a loss, this class will allow you and offer you the space to release some of those build-up emotions.
