I really want to stress you can get out there and bikepack with whatever gear you have! Any bike in working order plus normal camping gear and you should be set to go! My first trip, I used plastic bags for waterproofing and have bought nicer gear over the years. I had this bike for riding single track and now have toured 26 countries on it! Don't let $ and gear be the limiting factor!
