Tinggal ma Ho Butet (stay at my daughter's house) is one of the songs of the people's struggle in the Batak land, this song tells the suffering of a mother who has to leave the Butet (baby daughter) sleeping at home without anyone to look after her, her mother goes to the fields (works) a because her husband had long since left them to fight for the country.
In the next story, the mother went to find her husband from one village to another in the Batak lands to find news of her father, Buttet, who had fought against the invaders, but finally the mother received news from the local warrior that Butet's father had died.
