This is going to be my last new bass demo video for a while, so I've made it a blow-out. In addition to unboxing and demoing a few of the myriad sounds of the Sire Marcus Miller P8, I compare it head-to-head vs. the Fender Player Jazz Bass, Schecter Stiletto Studio, and even the Fender American Ultra Jazz Bass.

tl;dr The Sire is my favorite.

Correction: 7:35 Yes, in fact it was a couple of weeks before I realized that the passive tone control functions even when you're in active mode, and although I had the active treble EQ turned up during this test, the passive tone was turned all the way down.

Part of the reason I won't be producing as many new bass videos in the coming months is that I am going to be refocusing on reeds, as I play clarinet and bass clarinet (plus a bit of tenor sax) for the Chaska Valley Family Theatre production of A Christmas Carol, in Chanhassen, MN, December 1-3 and 7-10.
