What is acute leukemia? It is a condition in which the hematopoietic stem cells in the body become abnormal and accumulate in the bone marrow and blood serum. Acute leukemia can be split into two types: myeloid or lymphoblastic. This depends on the lineage of the hematopoietic stem cell.
