3年ぶりに開催出来るかと思ってましたが、急遽中止になってしまいました。
幻となった令和4年の八王子まつり。
絶やしてはいけない。世代に繋いでいきたい。という思いで、町会毎に小規模でお囃子を披露しました。

We had hoped to be able to hold the festival for the first time in three years, but it was suddenly canceled.
The Hachioji Festival of 2022 was a mirage.
We must not let it die out. We want to pass it on to the next generation. With this in mind, each town council performed a small-scale musical performance.


八王子まつり
市内最大のお祭りで、70万人を超す人出で賑わいます。
名物は、関東屈指とも言われる山車の装飾です。
豪華な彫刻を施した19台の山車がお囃子の音とともに甲州街道を練り歩きます。
また、重さ4トンを誇る「千貫みこし」を延べ1,600人が担ぐ様子も大迫力です。

Hachioji Festival
This is the largest festival in the city, attracting over 700,000 people.
The most famous feature of the festival is the decoration of the floats, which are said to be among the best in the Kanto area.
Nineteen gorgeously carved floats parade along the Koshu Kaido (Koshu Highway) to the sound of musical accompaniment.
The "sengan mikoshi" (portable shrine), which weighs 4 tons and is carried by a total of 1,600 people, is also a very impressive sight.
