Djaa is a rhythm from Northeast region of Guinea. We received a request for this rhythm, so here's a demonstration for you!

Traditionally, Djaa is a dance rhythm. It's a dance of courtship at a festival for youths in the village. Mamady Keïta taught 2 verisons of Djaa. We'll be demonstrating the version from Siguiri region, where Mamady comes from.

For the performance, we also included another version of Djaa from Kouroussa region in the introduction segment.

We hope you enjoy this video!
