Some of the koi here were absolutely massive. I caught by far the smallest fish in the pool, and it was still pretty solid. I fished a small nymph under a Royal Wulff dry fly, with a fish eventually taking the nymph.
I had a landing net, but it was not within reach when I went to land the fish, and I did a very poor job of landing it by hand as its tail was too thick to easily get my hand around.
