In honor of the 50th anniversary of Caesars Palace, Bon Appétit Deputy Editor Andrew Knowlton took on the ultimate Las Vegas challenge: to work for 24 hours straight at Caesars Palace hotel and casino.

Knowlton starts off making pancakes with Nobu then noodles at Mr. Chow. There are a couple shifts spent maintaining the pool, delivering room service, hauling luggage with a bag cart, and keeping cigarette trays tidy.

After a session learning at Bacchanal Buffet, Knowlton gets up to speed on some signature cocktails at The Lobby Bar. The final stop of his work tour comes when he makes a pie or two at Di Fara's Pizza.
