Unboxing the OnePlus Open with a one-week review of the camera, battery life, performance and beyond. This is my new favourite foldable phone thanks to the slick software and that OnePlus Open hardware. It's not as skinny as the Honor Magic V2 but it matches or beats the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 in almost every area.

First up, this is some of the best camera tech on any bendy smartphone in 2023. The OnePlus Open shows only slight saturation in brighter conditions and can cope with HDR issues, while the night photography is also decent. Video capture and telephoto shooting both get a thumbs up too.

The OnePlus Open is also one of the best foldable phones for battery life. This thing can last you all day even with quite a bit of camera action, and performance is good enough for gaming. But hey, it's the OxygenOS software that really sells this smartphone. The OnePlus Open has a nifty Canvas design which allows you to effortlessly flick between three separate apps on that bright and punchy internal display. Check out this hands-on review to see it in action!

So that's what I think of the OnePlus Open but are you sold? Let us know your thoughts below and check out my unboxing and testing of other foldable phones in 2023.
