FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – UCLA Women's Basketball (7-0, 0-0 Pac-12) defeated Arkansas (7-2, 0-0 SEC) Sunday on the Razorbacks' home court. No. 2 UCLA continued its undefeated campaign with an 81-66 win in the second-ever meeting between the two teams.

Sophomore Lauren Betts led the Bruins in scoring, totaling 20 points on 9-9 shooting from the field. She also picked up 10 rebounds, completing a double-double.

The Bruins outscored the Razorbacks 40-22 in the paint, partly because of Betts' offensive effort. UCLA also had an impressive showing from the bench, out-pacing Arkansas' bench 28-5. Sophomore Londynn Jones scored her 12 points off of the bench. The Bruins also scored 19 points off of the fast break, compared to the Razorbacks' seven.

Sophomore Gabriela Jaquez completed her second double-double of the season, recording 10 points and 11 boards. Seven of her rebounds came from the defensive end of the court, and she picked up two steals, contributing to an impressive defensive performance from the sophomore forward.

The Bruins outrebounded the Razorbacks throughout the game, finishing with 56 boards to Arkansas' 26. The Bruins picked up 37 rebounds from the defensive glass. Jaquez led the team in rebounding, followed by Betts and Angela Dugalić, who finished with nine total.

The Bruins got off to a slow start in the first quarter, but a 13-0 scoring run quickly turned this around. A three-point jumper by sophomore Kiki Rice highlighted the Bruin's early comeback. The lead changed for the only time in the game thanks to a fastbreak layup off of a turnover by Dugalić. Betts finished the period with six points and four rebounds, completing every field goal attempt.

The second quarter was again defined by the efficient Bruins' offense, including a 10-0 scoring run. UCLA struggled with takeaways throughout the first half, totaling 10 turnovers in the first two quarters. The Bruins were efficient from the 3-point line in the second period, with a 3-for-6 shooting effort from the team. The second came to a close with a block from Rice, which turned into a made three-pointer from Jaquez.

The Bruins began the second half up 17 points on the Razorbacks. The third quarter began with a made three-point jumper from graduate student Charisma Osborne. Dugalić scored two put-back baskets off of offensive rebounds from her teammates' shots. The Bruins continued their scoring dominance in the third period, outpacing the Razorbacks 22-13.

The Bruins slowed in the fourth, with the Razorbacks cutting the lead from 27 to 18 in the first five minutes. The Razorbacks went on a 15-0 scoring run in the fourth. At the seven-minute mark, Jones crossed into double-digit points with her second made three-point shot of the day. UCLA stepped up their defensive effort toward the end of the game, allowing no field goals in the final four minutes, and securing the 15-point win.
