Trail magazine and the British Mountaineering Council present Britain's Mountain Challenges.

In this video Trail magazine's Dan Aspel takes on one of Snowdonia's most popular scrambling routes: a climb up Tryfan's northern shoulder followed by an ascent of Bristly Ridge to the summit of Glyder Fach. Both are solid Grade 1 scrambles, although Bristly Ridge does cross into Grade 2 territory if you're not careful about your route finding, so it's worth remembering scrambling's golden rule: never climb up anything you can't climb down!

Both the north ridge of Tryfan and Bristly Ridge are fantastic experiences in their own right, but link them together and you have a phenomenal scrambling day in north Wales that takes in two of its most spectacular mountains, and leaves you with memories that will last a lifetime.
