The contrast between the beauty in nature and the beauty in human creation is quite large. This piece is an interesting link between the two, serving as a mechanical representation of the gift of roses, but without the transience. This video is an attempt at illustrating the creative thinking that goes into a kinetic project like this- determining the constraints, choosing a mechanism, and deciding on the aesthetics are all key factors when designing an engineering based art piece.
