Turn on subtitles for the instructions.

Since the dawn of time, we have been inventing tools to strike, cut and shape the materials around us to meet our needs. It is only since we live in this modern age that we have lost the notion of taking care of the tool, this object that made our ancestors prosper. Today, moreover, it is no longer the tool that makes us live, but the State, the companies, the institutions. Many of us are wondering how to live free and autonomous again: let's start by sharpening a tool.

Most of the forged tools that come out of factories are not sharpened, this is what frustrates many users, and yet it is also what sometimes allows us to have quality tools at a correct price.

Sharpening is an art that should be practiced and mastered by most of us. However, there is no single set of rules. Also, I am not an expert, I am simply sharing the methods that work for me. These may evolve one day as I evolve.

Other videos on sharpening will come to make it as simple and accessible as possible: that is, with means limited to a file, a stone.

Tools present :
Falci Sickle "Acciaio Finissimo"
Soft half round file Tomé Fèteira
Synthetic stone "Silicar" Zische
