This is a short video sequence of a nesting pair of Great Blue Herons (Ardea herodias) at Wakodahatchee Wetlands. The sequence shows the male arrive with soft nesting material and thereafter appears to poke the female to invite copulation. The female responds and soon after copulation he is off to gather additional nesting material. The clips used were captured using the Nikon Z9 in 4K 120fps and slowed to a 23.99 fps timeline.
