Cognitive decline and dementia are not inevitable parts of ageing. Professor Hannah Keage interrogates why some people develop cognitive impairments later in life, while others do not. Prof Keage specialises in the indexation of risk factors associated with cognitive impairments and disease, like delirium and dementia. Her work allows for enhanced prediction of who will develop these conditions, and why. These insights also allow for an increased ability to prevent such conditions.
