The third day of my April 2012 thru-hike of the Monadnock-Sunapee Greenway Trail. It was by far, my longest day at just under 20 miles of hiking. The going began to get more difficult, as the carriage roads morphed into side trails on rolling mountains. The weather was very hospitable, but the warmth began to make me sweat more and more. My last night on the trail, I spent at Max Israel Shelter just short of the Sunapee Ridge.
