Hallucinations and Archetypal Symbolism. My experience with, and interpretations of, hallucinations/symbolism such as:

Water; underground themes (and the subconscious)
Feminine figures (and integrating feminine parts of self)
Animals (and help/comfort)
Monsters such as ghosts, zombies, and demons (and integrating the shadow self)
Fairies and fairytales (and the subconscious)
Ladders (and spiritual growth)

Symbolism is the language of the subconscious, and is used in dreams, along with in psychosis hallucinations and delusions. This language can be interpreted, to better understand what the psyche is communicating--which can help to integrate experiences and move towards a sense of connection and wholeness.
