Our society spreads a narrative that you have to be born privileged if you want to succeed.

This is a simplistic view. Yes, a position of privilege does grant advantages. This cannot be denied.

But someone who is gifted responsibility and hasn't earned it will not hold onto it for very long - they lack the skills to do so, and someone who is better skilled will seize it from them.
