Sangama is the place near Bangalore in Kanakapura district, Karnataka where two rivers Kaveri and Arkavati join and flow through Mekedatu.
This place is around 95 KM from Bangalore and good for a day trip. Its a good idea to start early and reach there by 9:30 AM to avoid rush during weekends. To visit this place from Bengaluru, first, go to Kanakapura then take a left turn for Sangama/Mekedatu. My recommendation is to go there during monsoon and avoid summer because less water in the river will disappoint you.
To visit Mekedatu from Sangama, you need to take a coracle to cross the river and then take a Bus ride for few kilometers.
