I tried taking a risk by driving out to the backwaters after work and fishing into the dark but honestly, I absolutely failed as soon as the sun went over the horizon! With how many different species are in the backwaters, I truly figured it would be a crazy night bite with the crappie, bluegill, perch, and potential walleye but it was deserted - totally vacant! Next time I make it out there and have a chance to fish into the dark, ill have to move to a bigger area of the backwaters so I try more spots! Regardless, I'm glad I was able to make it out and catch some fish!
