of all the sketchbooks i've made over the years, this is by far my favorite one to make. not only i get to bring back a book(cover) that has long been out-of-print but with enough test-prints and estimation i can make it into any size that i'd like. i present to you, the "printable book-cover sketchbook".
in this video, i used shizen handmade watercolor paper for the pages and a print of a 1890 botanical book cover, "British Ferns" for the cover. the process is quite simple and straightforward that requires minimal book-binding skill and if you happen to have a scan of a book cover that you like, i hope you will give it a try.
as always, if you have any questions about the process, please let me know, i will be happy to help!
thanks so much for spending the time.
