In this video, I repair a broken chair leg. This leg bolts into the chair with two bolts through a bracket. One of the threaded inserts got pulled out along with some splintered wood when the leg broke. I talk through and show how I went about cutting out a section of the leg and gluing on some nice strong new oak material. I then trimmed this to the right final shape, drilled a properly placed hole, and inserted a new threaded insert for a bolt. Finally some stain and polyurethane finished it off and the leg is ready to go back into the chair, hopefully for many more years.
