In this video, I discuss the importance of "riding smarter, not harder" by focusing on efficiency and effectiveness in horse training. The key is to minimize wear and tear on the horse while maximizing results. I share insights from my own experiences, highlighting the importance of a well-thought-out warm-up routine that conserves the horse's energy. By using targeted exercises that address specific areas of the horse's body, such as the shoulders, hindquarters, and spine, you can achieve better balance, suppleness, and overall performance.

I also explain how to structure your training sessions to avoid overworking the horse, especially with green or less experienced horses. The right combination of groundwork, lunging, and strategic riding exercises can help your horse stay mentally and physically fresh, allowing for more advanced work without fatigue.

Ultimately, every horse is unique, and your approach should be tailored to your horse's needs and training level. By diagnosing and addressing stiffness and muscle blockages through specific exercises, you can help your horse move more freely and maintain long-term soundness.
