In this week’s video, I tackle hand-cut dovetails on the bandsaw. I build a shop-made jig that allows me to feed the parts into the bandsaw at the perfect angle. The components for this jig are made up of scrap bin material, with very simple construction. All that is required is a store-bought dovetail guide, the same item you would use to mark-up your dovetails on a work piece.

This jig was tested using knotty pine, possibly the worst wood to cut dovetails with. Regardless, it still turned out well.
