We left Darwin early yesterday morning which meant no workout for me! I prefer a good morning sesh - Chris prefers to train in the arvo. Yesterday we didn’t arrive at our first camp on the Roper Highway until late arvo which gave us just enough time to train before the sun went down. Not training is NOT an option! I’ve worked in the fitness industry since I was 16 and training is part of who I am. If I miss a day, I get a bit cranky!
I don’t train hard every day - I like to mix it up with cardio, strength, weight, bodyweight, band work, Pilates, remedial, stretching, yoga, dance, HiiT and whatever else I feel like doing. Chris much prefers to hit the trails on his MTB and train heavy at the gym. It’s a compromise when you’re a full time traveler! You’ve gotta use what you’ve got.
Another thing that keeps me motivated is my online platform Patreon where I share all the workouts that I film as we travel. A new sesh every week! I actually filmed a beginner upper body workout this arvo 😁💪🏼
