이건용 〈건빵 먹기〉, OCI미술관에서 퍼포먼스, 2023

전시장 한가운데 뜬금없는, 연못처럼 둥글고 잔잔한, 그리고 새까만 고운 모래판. 장난기 어린 얼굴로 막대기를 주워 들고 흙장난하듯 슥슥 긋는다. 막대기 끝을 따라 흰모래가 피어나며 동그라미가 떠오른다. 별안간 ‘여기, 저기, 거기’ 당연한 소리를 외치더니, ‘어디, 어디, 어디?’ 둘레를 돌다 사라진다. 덩그러니 남은 흰 동그라미 하나. “끄…끝인가요?ㅎㅎ”

“Look. What do you think lol?” A stick is picked up with a mischievous face, and a circle is drawn on the playground as if playing with sand. It creates the ‘inside and ousidet’. Footprints all around show that ‘the body = the existence with its position’. Saying “here, there, there”, circles are drawn clearly with languages. By drawing the line on the desk, it becomes conscious of the partner’s land and the reality of division. The pencil and eraser that ‘cross the line’ face the tragedy of their position. “Mine!" Looking back at these quick hands and serious proclaiming, everyone once was Kunyong Lee in their childhood.
