A London business group has written to the Treasury urging the Chancellor to reinstate VAT-free shopping for international tourists and visitors.

BusinessLDN submitted a report saying that allowing international visitors to get a VAT refund on products they buy in the UK when leaving the country would make London and the UK more competitive with cities on the European mainland that offer VAT-free schemes.
