Harper Wayne is about to discover life in a whole new way. But will she be able to get through the first day of her new world?

picture this: you had an idea for a spinoff of 'A Different World' and you have a community who supported you through it and a year later here we are! I present to you... 'A Similar World' .

August 23, 2023, I told my people on Instagram I'd love for there to be a spinoff of the iconic show, 'A Different World'. Someone swiped up (Angelique) and watered the seed of my idea and said "YOU should do it". I immediately went to planning and laid out my vision. And then that was it. Here and there I would think about it, but didn't get back on the wave to do it. However, Angelique would continue to water the seed over the last year. It wasn't until August 8, 2024 (a month and a half ago), that the seed started to sprout.
It was announced on August 8th, that Netflix was/is in the works of creating a sequel to 'A Different World' and I hoped and prayed I would find myself in the room. And then I remembered Issa Rae got her show on HBO from creating on YouTube first. Bel-Air is a show on Peacock (with 3 seasons!) because someone created a trailer that went viral for a dramatic portrayal of 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air'. So who's to say, if I create my spinoff version of 'ADW' it won't get me cast for the Netflix spinoff.
The Bible tells me faith without works is dead (James 2:14-26). And this whole project from start to finish was me putting actions behind my faith in what the Lord can do. Not just for me, but everyone involved with the project (take note of the credits!)! I have no agent or manager, but the Lord opens doors no one else can shut. So Lord have Your way! And thank You for still giving me time to produce my film before it was too late. God is good! and God is kind!
