V1 pets can still generate silver, evolve, join the boss fight, join the arena, be equipped with spirits, and be spirits. They cannot, however, breed anymore.

V2 pets have increased stats and can be bred. You need 5 DPET tokens plus gas fees to transform from v1 to v2. Only qualified v1 pets (those who reached level 20 before July 10, 2022, 8PM).
