I am teaching viewers how to tie the Eugene Bend Knot (AKA: Eugene Knot, Eugene Slip Knot, Pitzen Knot, etc.) which I believe is both the strongest and the fastest knot that you can tie out there! I teach both the original version of the knot as well as a modified (some would say improved) version of the knot. I also teach some tips and tricks for tying this knot including using this knot on a drop-shot rig. I tie this knot probably 90% of the time I'm tying on a new bait. There are only a few baits/rigs that require a specific different knot.

Another popular knot, the San Diego Jam Knot, is just a slightly modified version of this Eugene Bend Knot. The San Diego Jam Knot basically just adds some steps which in my opinion are completely unnecessary! The Eugene Bend Knot is already extremely strong (I've never had it fail!), and adding the extra steps in order to tie the San Diego Jam Knot just takes up unnecessary time.
