If you would like to watch another one of my projects -    • The Best Restoration Video That NOBOD...
Or maybe this one -    • Incredible Transformation of a 1930's...

This week I am repairing and refinishing a small console table that was in pretty bad condition after sitting in a shed for several years. The finish is worn out and flaking and veneer is starting to shed along the edges. The entire piece is wobbly and a leg is about to fall off. Other than that, it is great shape!

This was a more simple project than I usually post on this channel. I began by removing the finish from each piece after disassembling, repairing some gouges in the wood top using heat and moisture, and using oxalic acid to remove stains from the wood and even out the color. I glued the veneer back in place and plugged and tapped a new hole for the screws in each lower leg. After conditioning the wood, I stained the wood and treated with boiled linseed oil and finishing wax to enhance the look of the grain and give it a little shine.
