Got an experience to travel to Tsomgo Lake also known as Songmo, Changu Lake & Baba Mandir. It was one of the most adventurous & dangerous and highest elevation road trips on my motorcycle. Although it was a mesmerizing journey with beautiful clouds coming from downhills, curvy and narrow roads,
It was the first time tried to make a moto vlog. But unfortunately, we haven't got the permit to visit Nathula Pass (141400 feet) but we visited Tsongmo/Changu Lake (छंगू झील) and Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple also known as Baba Mandir (बाबा मंदिर). Which is a mountain pass in the East Sikkim district of India. It connects the Indian state of Sikkim with China's Tibet Autonomous Region. Nathu La is one of the three open trading border posts between China and India. Nathu La is situated on the old silk route. It is about 54 Km from Gangtok.
Tsongmo/Changu Lake, also known as Changu Lake (छंगू झील). It is a glacial lake. It is about 40 KM from Gangtok. Located at an elevation of 12,313 ft. The lake remains frozen during the winter season. Its surface reflects different colors with changes of seasons.
Captain "Baba Harbhajan Singh" (30-08-1946 – 4-10-1968) was an Indian army soldier. He is also known as the "Hero of Nathula" by soldiers of the Indian army. A shrine is built in his honor. Baba Mandir is believed to grant favors to those who revere and worship him. He is said to be protecting the country even after death.
