I filmed this at the end of winter when my Bowiea had a full head of "hair"...I always find in the heat of the summer, the lush climbing leaves (hence the name "blooming onion") tend to brown up and die back—only to put out more green in late summer/early fall. Not sure if this is other people's experience in the Northeast but it is with mine here! This is #92 in 365 Days of Plants.
