I tried a new way of crochet (new to me, that is) braids. My hair is very short, but I still like the look of box braids. I thought it would take to much energy to actually grip my short hair, so I tried rubber bands to make my sections. I crocheted the hair under my rubber bands and made sure that my actual hair was behind the braid. Where my hair is longer (on top) I had to go a step further and weave my hair through the braids. It was an easy process and took me about 5 hours. I'm sure it wouldn't take someone else that long, but I work very slow.
