This introduces the Responses Dependency feature available within HEEDS, designed to harness your engineering insight and expertise to help guide the design space exploration.

During an optimization, a portion of the search budget is used to identify and understand the interactions between input-to-output, and their resulting impact on your optimization problem statement. With the Responses Dependency feature, you have the ability to reduce this interaction discovery, by indicating whether a response has a direct dependency on a variable based on your experience, knowledge and/or understanding of your models. Simply mark the dependency as Yes or No and when unsure, leave it undefined to prevent the risk of misleading SHERPA. By precisely defining appropriate dependencies, SHERPA can focus on more accurate and meaningful designs to more effectively use your evaluation budget to discover better designs, even faster!

Thanks to an agreement with Maserati, Siemens is allowed to leverage the Ghibli’s full vehicle assembly to showcase CAD and CAE capabilities. In this video, this serves as an excellent example to showcase how to setup and optimize the air comfort experience, while demonstrating the advantages achieved when utilizing the response dependency feature within HEEDS.
