Density measurement with a u-tube oscillator
The sample is filled into the u-tube oscillator which is electronically excited to vibrate at its natural frequency
The resonant frequency of the u-tube oscillator changes as a function of the density of the filled sample
The ratio of density to resonant frequency examplified with air and water
The density is determined by measuring the resonant frequency that occurs
Roughly speaking, the greater the density / mass of the sample, the lower the frequency
The measuring cell is tempered with high precision to ensure a highly accurate measurement
