Eastern Europe is great for van life camping! Rules are relaxed, lots of places to camp, and people are cool with outdoor living. Unlike some Western countries (and Western Europe...), Eastern Europe has fewer camping restrictions, so it's easier to find spots and explore without hassle. You can camp freely in rural areas and parks without reservations or fees. Police usually focus on other stuff, so encounters are rare. Camping is a big part of the culture here, especially in summer.
